Just plain rude.

I am all for making new friends blogging. In fact it is one of my favourite things about it. I have met some wonderful people. Amazing generous spirited people who have opened their hearts to me. New friends = good. However when my comments section gets orders such as Hi, follow my blog, or I just followed your blog, come follow mine or similar I’m like…
Yuck.
And not that I don’t welcome an invitation over to your blogs. I do. If there is a relevant post or something there you think I might enjoy seeing. Tell me about it of course. I have in the past been overjoyed at bloggers taking the time to direct me to an archive post of theirs that just about sums up what I am going through or how they dealt with it or something like that. I do not respond well to hey, follow me. Like now!
I never did do well being told what to do. It makes me do the craziest things. It drives me in the opposite direction, no matter my original plan. And seriously, who made the follow me and I’ll follow you rule. It sucks. I follow hundreds {literally} of blogs. Way more than the number of followers I have. And I follow them because they interest me. And when they don’t anymore I unfollow. Yup. I go to ALL THAT TROUBLE.
So there, I just wanted to say it. Don’t demand I follow you or I’ll chuck you in the spam bin. Literally, like old mate who hit the bin yesterday. Good news though mate, this is a whole post about you. Bonus!

And FYI, I always check out the blogs of new followers, I don’t need you to tell me what to do. Oh stubborn streak much!?

  1. Who did that? Loser.

  2. Ditto big time. I don't like being made to feel like if I don't come back and follow, I'm some kind of low life!

  3. Oh shit, I typed a comment and then lost it! BOOOO. Basically it was an e-five and a go girl! I had to stop participating in those blog hop things where you have to visit and comment on the 2 previous bloggers blah blah blah. Because then I felt obligated to follow, and a lot of people are neither funny nor interesting and therefore not worth following. You have inspired me to edit down. :) Have a happy day!

  4. You seriously make me laugh!
