I’m so glad you asked…

About three years ago now, we moved into our house. The third house we had constructed but the first we had lived in for any period of time. Our fifth overall. And it was designed by us. Each item selected by us. Each detail and each time we went over budget it was us. And we love the result. The Church {named that due to its imposing and slightly odd looking roof line} is very us.
But as always there are things we would change. Isn’t there always when it comes to building a home. But one thing that worked out perfectly, was our main bathroom. Well done us. We love it. Features include the 1800mm bath that is over 500mm deep, plumbed to tank water, of course. The semi frame-less shower screen that kinda makes the shower disappear into what would other have been a pokey corner. The wide bench top to load up with stuff. It is the perfect getting ready bathroom.
Can you tell I love houses. Bathrooms in particular. It’s like my thing. I always renovate bathrooms first. I must, must, must have a bath. Cannot live without. Essential. I have had claw foot originals, a slipper bath, pokey under shower trays that barely count and everything in between. Though I have never had a spa. Hmmm. Strange. I wonder why not.
And when the lovely Danielle at Hello Owl asked My Place & Yours’ers about our bathrooms, I jumped, literally, at the chance. Want to join in? Pop over and link up. You know how.

  1. oOo nice bathroom!! I don't mind our bathroom but my dream is to have a stand alone bath, a nice deep one! I eventually plan to live in an older house – where if there ISN'T a deep bath, the bathroom will be renovated and one put in!!I'd love to build again but after our first experience, Guvnor has said no – can't blame him really, even I was plotting to find a hitman for our builders by the end of it all!x

  2. I'm so envious of your bath! Mine is barely 30cm.Not that it matters so much, I no longer feel safe climbing out of a slippery tub, so I shower instead. I haven't fallen or anything like that, it's just that I'm not as flexible as I used to be, so don't want to take chances.

  3. Gorgeous bathroom, loving that basin, I can live without the bath! Stunning reno! ;)
