I found this today. While wandering down memory lane, blog wise. And this little post from my first month of blogging just about sums up blogging for me… You interested? Well read on. Not..? Well, try again tomorrow. This is the best I’ve got today.
…
I should be cooking dinner. I should go and do it so for the millionth time this month I don’t feel like a deficient host parent. But I’m not. I’m online checking out blogs, linking to blog communities and carrying on determined to ignore my self inflicted responsibilities (that I love and cherish). Thank god Miss Y had a big lunch, this could be a while; you see, I’ve realised something; Blogs are AWESOME.
I know, as per usual, I’m a little late to the party (it took me until early this year to sign up for a facebook account). I read sites today that I bookmarked for being fun, others for being informative, still more for being a good read. I read some sites today that I cringed at… that I covered my eyes, hit back and hoped I didn’t get a virus from – eeewwww. And as I trolled through this information overload I finally GOT the information age. It’s just people, having their say, doing their bit, leaving a mark and saying whatever they’ve got to say.
So as I watch a countdown of road trip movies (wishing I could phone and just order all the DVD’s to be delivered right now) I’m a bit stoked at myself for doing my bit. I may not know how to write (on an official level), my darling friend Jojo will probably be required sooner rather than later for grammatical corrections, I may worry a little too much about what the people I know will think about me when (and if) they read this and my images may be mostly downloaded from Google… but it’s ok. I’m just having a say about what’s important… and for me, that’s realising how good we’ve got it while we’ve got it.
It’s sticky, sickly sweet, kind of a bit much in an over the top way but true… life is sweet (every possible pun intended). This girl intends to blog on.

So. Why do you blog?
