{Point & Shoot} Attempted Night Shot

Now… A Little Help..?

Soooo photographer friends. A little help here. How to I take clearer night time photos? I used a long time thingy. A stable platform from which to shoot. Got anything for me here? Not that I plan to hang out taking photos of the lovely Brisbane skyline everyday, but it would be useful to know.
Want to play point & shoot? It’s simple. Pop over and visit Ms Chantelle at Fat Mum Slim to find out how.

  1. Use your 10 second timer so that you are not pressing the button to get the shot. That way you have 10 seconds to make sure the camera is stable and a better chance of getting that perfect shot. Even though you don't think you move the camera when you press the button, you really do as you can see. Good luck with the shots.

  2. Thanks Tam. I'll give that a go.

  3. Hey! Thanks for your comment on my blog. As for your question re the header, I just did it using Picnik… As for the question above, the ISO of your camera could possibly be a factor? Without knowing what camera you're using of course… Nice to meet another Brisbanite anyway :-)

  4. Hello there! I just discovered your blog and I enjoyed going through it. I have the same problems with night shots. I think the first photo you did is great! I'll try with 10 second timer too! Thanks for advice!
