Today I turned off the ping noise that goes off every time a new email came into my inbox. It is never a productive thing anyway. But today it was out of the ball park annoying. Because today I was drowning in emails and with each upbeat ping I went a little crazier. Got a little more anxious. Cursed a little louder. And let me tell you…
I adore technology. I’m a fan of all things technological and emailing and bloggy and iPhony. Oh and I love facebook, itunes, picnik, internet banking and search engines and all that. But a girl has to draw a line in the sand. I don’t think I need to be notified that one more person has added one more item to my extensive to do list by a ping! Who invented that thing anyway.
They need a swift kick in the shins.
I don’t know what this post is meant to be about really. But all I could think about when I sat down to blog tonight was that stupid ping noise. And that today I got a ridiculous amount of emails for one day. It does make you wonder what goes on out there in far, far away that has all the shit hit the fan on the same day. All the pipes burst on the same day. All the pools needing to be filled in, with dirt, on the same day. All the property applicants demand answers on the same day. All the bond loans to be approved meaning all the tenants are good to go on the same day. Strange.
So sing along people… My mama told meeee, there’d be days like this. What’s your the shit has hit the fan but screw it, I’ll sing along to something uplifting song? Does that request even make sense? Here, I’ll try again. Favourite pick me up song, ready..? Go.
