Bogged…

So it has been raining here for weeks and weeks now. We have had moments of sunshine. You’ve seen the photos from the camping trip, those were the moments. Some of the only ones. What we have had more of is rain. Drizzling rain. Dumping rain. Sideways Rain. Misty Rain. You know, rain. And lots of it.
And today, when investigating a flooded and washed away driveway, I attempted to reverse back out only to slip off the driveway and get myself bogged in the shoulder. As the flashy, highly sign painting car I drive is front wheel drive I knew I was in trouble straight away. I attempted to put sticks and rocks under the wheel to gain traction. I attempted reverse and forward. I attempted everything.
And all of it, in the pouring rain.
So before I dug it in too far for it to come back out I called for help and did what I do best. Logged onto facebook and told the world I was bogged. And a white knight arrived. In a ute. It was even a white ute. We pulled it out and off I went. Drenched. Freezing. And without my shoes. And that was my afternoon. And now, for your entertainment, more photos of my bogged car.
