Clearing the Clouds

I’m not feeling so sunny today… no amount of mustering thoughts of cheerful, colourful or fun things has helped. So I’m falling back on an old favourite that has worked for me since I was a child, and sharing it with you for extra oomph, the things I love list. Hang on, this is my second list in under a week… Stop me immediately if i confuse it for my daily to do list, that would be too dull for words.

Things I LOVE;
  • Hubby for his loyality, for the fun times when we laugh so hard it hurts and for his jokes, that hardly ever make us laugh, but that makes them EVEN BETTER.
  • My Home. Built to our design it is a little bit odd and very suburbian. I love the expansive rooms that offer a blank canvas to be expanded upon. I love that Hubby was ok with me covering an entire wall in photo frames even if they will never stay straight. I love the natural bushland that creeps towards our back yard. I love the peace & quiet.
  • Having a good cry when I’m sad. Sometime it doesn’t even require external stimulus. There is something cathartic about big racking sobs when in your heart you know it’s not THAT bad.
  • My family… have I told you that outside of my immediate family I have almost 70 FIRST cousins. No? Well, I’m serious. I do. I love that there is a never ending supply of people who love me and are cheering me on to win. And more where they come from when they’re doing my head in. Is that a horrible thing to say? Probably.
  • My town, Gympie, Queensland. Sometimes she breaks my heart; like when there is nowhere to go for coffee on a Sunday afternoon. Other times she’s as familiar and cuddly as my Mum and I love her almost as much. You saw the pics, it’s a beautiful place filled with creative, passionate, vibrant and strange people. What’s not to love? Oh yeah! Travel time to the big smoke… approximately highway driving 2 hours.
  • Clothes, shoes, paint, drawings, books, movies and writing. I think I might even look into photography again. I love being creative, expressing what is there to be said. I love a creative bust out. I love a good canvas painting day with the family. I love to draw now that I’ve given up what I thought they should be and what they were SUPPOSED to look like.

Well… I could keep going but it’s late, I feel better and I’m ready for bed. I hope you enjoyed this little insight into what my world is like. Who or What do you love today? I’d love to know. Tell me would you; Nighty night.
