We aren’t going to be at home this Christmas. We alternate years between Hubby’s family and mine. This year we are in Bundaberg. This also means that usually we don’t really worry about putting up Christmas decorations. It’s a little less to deal with come the new year. BUT I’m over it. Sure I don’t want to drag out the entire big tree but I don’t want to miss out all together. This year, we went mini Christmas and I like it!
‘Tis well and truly the season folks!
Hi! I’m Melissa Walker Horn. Around here, they call me Suger. I’m the Chief Blogger and doer of all the things here at Suger Coat It. Blogging since 1901; I love a casual ootd, taking photos, and writing about things that irk or inspire me. I love wine and cheese, long days at the beach and spending time with my family. I make stuff for the internet over at Chalkboard Digital. You know, living the sweet life.
This is my first Christmas with just the fiance and me in our own house. So all we have atm is a small purple tinsel Christmas tree with a few gold baubles and a star, a homemade plush christmas tree that my mother made last year for my first one living away from home. And a wreath and a couple glittery things in a jar. I want a few more though, some lights especially 🙂
Naaaw, your first Christmas in your own place is SO exciting! Enjoy it. Your tree and decorations etc sound lovely.
I tried doing that this year went out and bought what I thought was a 120cm tree. Yeah it was 200cm. I mixed the boxes up. Big tree it is then lol
HA. Fail! Big tree it is. We picked up our 90cm one for $5 the other day. Can’t beat that.
This is what we did for the past 3 years… but since we are all home and together this year the big tree is out! 🙂
Oooo enjoy!!
Cute! I loved the personalised baubles in the jar. Might steal that one for next year.
My sil made those for Christmas one year, they were on the table filled with lollies etc. We’ve had them ever since! LOVE.,
Beautiful photos!!! Love your mini Crhistmas decoration
Thank you Gi. ME too! I’m really excited with how it all turned out. Much easier to clean up come new year too. 😉
