I have a whole post planned about transitional wardrobe and taking your look from summer to autumn and all that. But first, could you give me a moment to rave about some denim? Pretty please? I’m going to assume you said yes.
Denim and I have been having a love affair for a little while now. From my first pair of ASOS Curve jeans to my current day obsession with 17 Sundays joggers. I’m all about the denim. And I thought I’d found my one and only when it came to the anti-fit jeans, but it turns out there is more to that story, another true love; a second style of fit that blows my mind.
Ladies, meet the warpaint boyfriend joggers (mine were gifted).
If you’re an apple shape, you know a little bit rounder than the average around the middle, give these babies a try. I’m wearing the 22 which is my current normal, and could have worn the 20’s if I wanted a closer fit around the thighs and legs. That’s my hot tip. For others, hit up the team, they will give you the advice you need for a perfect fit every time. Trust me on THAT.
Now, transitional wardrobes. Let’s talk that. But first, some pics.
Taking your outfits from summer to autumn, autumn to winter, etc etc etc.
For me, it’s all about the layers. The colours that work for you are never really going to change that much, even if my foundation tends to change an entire shade. But the way you layer them for interest and warmth is the easiest way to manage a seasonal change. It’s as simple and as complicated as that.
Something light like this Empress Eleven sleeveless duster has served me all summer as a layer for interest over light weight dresses. Not thick enough to add warmth, but floating and cool. Add it over the dark denim and luxe tee and it added colour to the outfit and layered interest that wasn’t there before.
In the same way that you can swap an interesting necklace for a scarf or statement shoes for a statement boot. By adding layers to your outfit you cover your mixed weather situations and keep yourself stylish in on trend colours and styles. I’m really into the long line tunics, sleeveless vests and dusters and plaid for this coming Autumn/Winter season.
What’s your plan? You’re already wearing khaki right? I told you about my colour pick of the season and talked about styling not black or white monochrome last, last week. But what else? Any trend pieces we should be running out and buying?

Now, oh so stylish readers and visitors of mine (you, derrr, hey), why don’t you leave a comment sharing your best summer to autumn outfit tip? Or better yet, tell me if you own a pair of these joggers, we can gush together. After all, talking back is what blogs are all about. Haha.
