Welcome to the Suger’s Summer post series. In the upcoming posts {there are SIX in total} I will be sharing the looks that I am loving this Summer. The looks that I will be wearing. The looks I AM wearing. From the shops I buy from. Thanks to some fabulous brands there are some great items here for me to show you.
Starting with the Alessandra dress from Virtu {shown here – retails for $89.95}. The Alessandra perfectly demonstrates, for me, the ladylike trend. It’s fairly covered up for a summer dress. Sleeves, floating fabric and a modest hemline. The elegant details such as the satin circle trim on the necklace and wide satin hem take it up a notch. Mmmm, dressy but casual.
It’s like my Dad always said; It’s better to be overdressed, than under dressed.
And in this dress, you can be both. Stylishly outfitted but comfortable. Especially if it gets a little hot where you are. This dress is breezy and light and flows beautifully. I teamed it with a necklace {worn as bangles} and some simple, modestly heeled gray shoes. Both from Big W. The entire outfit was $115.
Pointers for the Ladylike look;
- Modest hemlines and necklines
- Classic pieces, nothing too OUT there
- Simple is best
- Tailored clothing fits this trend beautifully {BUT can be a little hot in Summer}
- Think black, cream, white and navy or florals. Florals work too.

Hot sexy lady, can't wait for more sizzling looks for summer!
I do like this look! It's definitely something I would wear! It's just that I'm in the opposite season, lol – but I still love this look!
Love this outfit. Looking good!
Looking good Suger!! Can't wait to see the rest of this series!
Errr, awkward, Mrs Woog but this is like the perfect storm for skin. Make-up, light hitting the fab mother of pearl {SLA – Heeeeello} face powder and a saturation filter. And hey presto, perfect skin. 😉
I am looking forward to this series! BTW your skin is AMAZING! Xx
