Lady Kate is one of those people. One of the charming, lovely and bubbly people that nothing seems to get them down. The moment I met her I felt like I’d know her forever. And I hand’t. Obviously. She writes a blog recently renamed Kate’s Fab Four {renamed from Kate & Michael + 3 after the addition of baby boy number 4 in January!}. I’ve been lucky enough to make over Kate’s blog not once, but twice. So, I like, love, love her. And as for her style, the VERY second I discover I’m preggers, I’m hitting her blog for inspiration, clothes wise. And easy peasy pregnancy wise. Now, let’s check out Kate’s baby carrying style.
I never thought keeping my bump covered would be seen as stylish. I certainly never set out to be stylish. When Jack was born I knew I wanted to dress like a girly girl, being the mother of a boy (and eventually 3 more boys) I had a feeling I would end up as ‘one of the boys’ otherwise.
These days dressing the bump had as much to do with practicality as it did with pretty. Can I sit on the floor and play cars in this dress/skirt comfortably? Will this top still look nice after carrying around a toddler for hours? Will this pattern cover the food splatters from cooking dinner before school pick up? I love to add a fun accessory here and there, my pearl necklace (love from Target) was a big favourite this pregnancy, along with my cute flower brooches (love from Hayley at Unique Journey)
As I got bigger dresses were far more comfortable and easier to cover the growing bump without feeling like I was pulling things down to keep my belly away. An unhealthy dose of pink chucked in with some ruffles and there you go, bump style a la Kate Style!

I love, love, love Kate. She is always dressed so well and her post-baby #4 body is amazing- Kate is a style guru!
Agree. Especially with the 3 loves! 😀
Nawww she looks like a gorgeous, pink, preggas goddess ♥
She does wear a lot of pink for a Mumma of four boys. 😉 Heehee.
Gorgeous!
I’ll be channelling my mother here…..food splatters? wear an apron….
(I can hear her now, she’s been dead for eight years)
She popped into my head the moment read food splatters.
Haha. I’m pretty sure we ALL end up sounding like our Mum’s sooner rather than later.
hehe I really do need to get my aprons out more often. Its usually just stirring the slow cooker or something quick that doesn’t involve the apron : )
Gorgeous piccys! Kate has beautiful baby (and post) style! xx
She certainly does. 😀
