Last Little Black Dress challenge I rocked out in teeny tiny {especially post-Christmas cheer} LBD with some killer heels, fresh blonde hair and a tan. It was going out glam at it’s finest. This time I decided weeks ago that I’d go casual. A cute outfit perfect for showing off the versatility of the LBD and one of many reasons we all love them. Well. Most of us. Do you know what else I love?

I am unapologetic about my love of all things chambray and I cannot WAIT to bring some lightweight denim to my spring outfits. I’m all set thanks to this shirt, a tunic and a skirt on the way. As far as I’m concerned this child of the nineties {born in the eighties} is reliving her youth. Keep your eyes peeled for some parachute pants too. I’m thinking they may be the next level of peg pants. HA! What? They totally could be.

Speaking of flashbacks, PLEASE tell me that you own sneakers. You do, right? I have this thing for sneakers instead of my usual flip-flops. Wash my mouth out, us Queensland kids are hardly ever seen without our thongs. But I’ve been pulling on my sneakers to run my errands, or to grab a coffee or lunch. I really think they are a totally undervalued part of any fun and funky wardrobe. Cool sneakers {and they don’t have to be a brand name, there are lots out there} just add so much fun. And are comfy as HECK.

And what? You wanted me to talk more about the ACTUAL little black dress? Oh okay. Well, this little peplum baby takes me from work to dinner with Hubby and everywhere in between. Not too long after these photos, it took me to my brother’s house to hang out with my SIL and their cute kiddies. It even saw a bit of trampoline action. Not advisable, it’s quite short, undies flashing ensued. So my hot tip for the LBD is to buy something with a bit of stretch in a material that is versatile, a style that you love and a length that you’re comfortable in. Then it’ll go wherever you need it too. Just add knotted chambray.

Or that could just be me. 😉
