You know that moment when you just start to let things slip.

Tax, eating right, excercising, doing your hair…

And things kind of suck.

The weight of the stuff you haven’t done starts to crush you.

You wake up at night.

You make lists in your mind.

Day after day those lists gets bigger.

Then one day you decide enough is enough.

And you start to strike things off the list.

Panic fades.

You’re tired but happy.

Sleep returns.

Bit by bit you claw your way back.

Back to the front.

You’re ahead and so you relax.

And it starts all over again.

Ummm, what’s that they say about the definition of crazy? Oh yeah. Right..!

I totally do that…list of things to do build up – start losing sleep and dreaming about all the things i have to do…

It happens. Good luck on the recovery phase. 😉

  • Oh yes i know that feeling. Yesterday I got on top of sooo much and then last night i went out so my room looks like a bomb site and the hangover is stopping me from getting things done and everythings about to start building up again!

    • Melissa Walker Horn

Uh huh. This post was for you by the sound of things. Haha.

  • I have been doing that. I have clawed back to the front on a number of things…but am terrified of dealing with the taxes. Eek!

    • Melissa Walker Horn

Oh goodness. Don’t mention the T word. Hubby may leave me if I don’t finish them soon. It’s my job, self nominated. He’s not just a jerk. 😉

Sigh. This is me right now. No crossing off the list though, just the crushing tired panic thing 🙁

Breathe beautiful Sheri Bomb. Breathe deep and try again tomorrow. Wait!? I sound like a Keep Calm mug. Ignore. 😉

      • sheribombblog

Hahaha this post is so true for my life. It makes me want to just not relax so I don’t have to start that cycle over again!

If only we could stay on the top of our game indefinitely. what a wonderful world it would be!

  • Yes, yes and yes. I have unopened mail sitting on my table near my front door, in the same spot I placed them when I walked in the door one afternoon about a month ago. If the power gets disconnected I’ll worry about it then. So behind I can’t even be assed clawing. Maybe tomorrow.

    • Melissa Walker Horn

Oh yes. Unopened mail may be the death of me. Seriously. Good luck with not getting your power cut off. I could use some well wishes to keep my internet on…! 😉

I need to write thank you notes…. I need to write thank you notes…. I need to write thank you notes…. ugh

    • Melissa Walker Horn

Haha. I remember thank you notes, they take ages and my handwriting is SO bad. Go on, go get them. once they’re done, they’re done!
