This week’s Friends of Suger – Your Style guest is from a blog that is relatively new to me, Jos of Sew, cook, laugh & live. Her blog is homey and jam packed with heart. But what really secured it for me was when I saw her email with the words I make my own clothes, I was in. Sewing my own clothes has been a bit of a dream of mine. Well for as long as it took me to realise that {mostly, back in the day} plus size clothes in modern design were hard to find. Now let’s take a peek at Jos’s style.

I have a unique sense of style (well, I think so!) because most of my clothes are handmade by me! I post blogs on the things that I make & I adore dresses. I think that there is nothing sexier than a woman who wears her clothes with confidence.  I am addicted to hats, jewellery, shoes, bags…. ok, I am addicted to all things fashion! LOL! I love the beach & a lot of my clothes reflect that. I love nautical colours (red, navy & white) but I am also a sucker for black & white. My husband also tells me that I was born with a bling gene.

I am in my early 30’s (gosh, I can say it now without chest pains!) & I now know what style means. I feel that it is what makes you smile when you wear it….what makes your hips sway just that little bit more when you walk…….what makes you stand tall……what makes you feel like you belong in your own skin………that is what I know is my style. I may not be model thin or super model beautiful but in the right clothes, I feel like I am the most beautiful woman alive.

GREAT guest post Jos! Truer words have never been spoken and I LOVE your style! So jealous that you make your own clothes – I wish I wasn’t so hopeless at sewing!!

That dress in the middle, the one you wore to the blog meet? I ADORE it! SOOO want one…maybe, just maybe I’d be brave enough to give it a go at making one 😉

Thanks Sheri! Yep, the middle dress is THE dress. They really are so easy to make. Check out the blog for the free tutorial on how to make them!
I love making my own clothes because I know I will never see anyone wearing the same as me! 😉
