Leading into spring there is plenty of colour on show out there. From pastels to neons and everything in between. For years I’ve been in black, a side effect of a mostly corporate, country town wardrobe. But bit by bit I’ve added loads and loads of colour. I just can’t help myself. I FEEL colourful at the moment. I’m sure there’s something to look into there. A realisation to be had. But for now, it’s all about wearing as many colours as possible. Blazers, leggings, cardigans, dresses and shoes. Especially the shoes.

I love that line in the Devil Wears Prada where she says floral, for spring, how original. I laugh out loud, literally. Floral for spring HAVE been around for a while. Of course, but that’s just because they go together like peas and carrots right? {movie quote day, apparently} I’ve never really gotten into floral either. But these little babies are sort of neon and we ALL know how much I am loving neon this season. This dress is a little big for me actually, so I’m going to be selling it. Let me know if you’d be interested.

Speaking of shoes, aren’t these ones from BigW just amazing. A covered platform heel in the brightest blue. My favourite colour in fact. These are actually the shoes Hubby and I had a disagreement about a week or so ago. He said I should wear my cream and cork wedges with this outfit, I wanted to wear the blue. I won, of course, they are MY feet after all. If he wants to wear the cream wedges he can knock himself out. Haha. All in all the aim was to wear as much colour as possible. And I’m pretty sure cream is a shade, not a colour.

Love the shoes! I am thinking about getting that same shoes in Red to complete an outfit for this weekend. The question is, are the comfy? Or will I want to rip them off after 5 minutes?

    • Comfy and a wee bit perilous! They have a pretty pointy heel, so if you’ve got solid ground to walk on, you should be ok. They also have an awesome green colour too. And black. Love!

Have been lurking for a bit but felt I had to comment to say how lovely your outfit was! Lovvvve the dress especially but the whole outfit is just beautiful ! 😉

    • Hi Jem, well thank you muchly for delurking. And thank you for the lovely comment. 🙂

Your look is making me yearn for spring. I love florals but wore a little too much of it in the 90’s with my doc marten boots! If not, I would probably be wanting to buy that dress from you.

    • Thanks Sarah. Baahaha. I know, right. I wore plenty of docs myself. Not a great deal of floral. But looooads of docs. Too bad, I’d love to find this baby a good home. 🙂

    You look lovely!

Love the blazer. I just picked up two- a striped and a lilac from Kmart. 19 bucks each. One. Nine. I mean…

I am more of a size 20 but the 18 fit great- a but of stretch in the fabric!

    • Thank you Erin!

Oh yeah, blazers are the best. I have pink, blue, orange, peach and a stripe one. The latest purchase from Autograph was an 18 and I’m more of a 22. You just have to get the fit you like and for me, I never button them, so I’m happy to compromise on that for a narrower fit over the shoulders and waist. Enjoy your blazers!!

  • Very sweet outfit, shame the dress is too large otherwise it would have to be a keeper.
I love florals, especially with a retro flavour, but all florals really.
Ummm yeah cream is so a shade.

    • Almost sickly sweet, right!? Haha. It’s such a great dress. I’m considering options on the too big top half factor. Unless a good home crops up, that is.

Cream is totes a shade. Haha.

LURVE! And I’m on your side. Those shoes MAKE this outfit! If that dress was my size I would totally buy it! Paired with that blazer they are just divine! Great work!

    • Thanks Sheri! Yay, go team me. I win. Suck on THAT Hubby. Haha.

It’s gorgeous isn’t it. I wish I had got a size down but that usually ends so badly!
