In Queensland it’s bye bye boots time. I’ve been stubbornly wearing two new pairs of boots that I picked up at the end of season sales because I WANT TO. No matter if the days are already reaching a sunny and warm 28 degrees. I especially wanted to get a wear or two {three would be nice} from my new SARA boots which I picked up on sale for $49!! They were a hot tip from 2 Many Cupcakes in the first Aussie Curves post. I ordered a 12 because it was the only size left and I got wait listed. When they arrived I almost danced! They’re all kinds of wonderful and just what I have been looking for.

Last week it was Muster week in town. The Gympie Music Muster is held in the Amamoor State Forrest about 20 minutes from my house {some of which you travel on dirt road. Gasp! I know, so country}. It started in 1982 on a cattle property with the band The Webb Brothers {local guys who hit a bit of country music fame} and their friends camping out and celebrating all things country music once a year. These days it’s an all in music lovers, camping, super party where over 40,000 people go, camp, party and listening to loads of music, bush poets, talent competitions and more. It’s pretty fun.

But this year we didn’t go. For the first time in a while. It felt weird not be there. Especially considering Kenny Rogers was there this year. There’s something rather surreal about Kenny Rogers being in a place you basically grew up in that does a girl’s head in. It makes you wanna dress a little cooooountry. Talk a little slower. And get your boots on. Muster marks last chance boots around here. Who am I to disagree?

No really, boots weather, why are you leaving me?
