Hey team, welcome officially to jeans week! The first outfit post kind of got hijacked by me ranting about people on the interwebs, so hey, welcome, settle in and let’s talk about how I wear boyfriend jeans as a plus-size woman. I’m a fan of the boyfriend jean and find that for most plus women this is a style that works for most of us!

As much as one style can, anyway.

But why is that? Well, the relaxed feel of the boyfriend jean, often with rips or patches, lends itself to a more relaxed fit. I actually prefer them with rips and distressing as it adds interest. I’ve had a pair before without them and they just didn’t have the same feel to them. Something to consider when you head into the shops/online stores.

With a straight leg, easy to wear fit and plenty of opportunity to cuff them to the perfect length; they’re versatile, short version. Wear them with sneakers and a tee or with heels and a bodysuit. Really, the sky is the limit. My favourite has always been to pair the more relaxed fit of the jean with a wedge or heel and a close-fitting top, bomber jacket or something like that. It’s casual and cool and easy to wear.

All my favourite things.

So, where are you going to be looking for the boyfriend jeans style? My go-to on this has been Torrid (in the US), Kmart (locally) and ASOS Curve (all over the place). I have also heard amazing things about the Embody Denim boyfriend jeans (stocking to a 22). These stores almost always have a great plus size boyfriend jean, with a little searching, your perfect pair is probably there.  And you’re going to want a pair of your own, trust me. Here’s how I wear mine!
