This rainy, dreary weekend I set myself the challenge of creating a feminine outfit for this week’s theme challenge. I had no real plan and didn’t know if I wanted to go literal or a little more inspired by the theme. After all feminine is a concept, an idea and completely open to the wearers interpretation.

I considered, would I wear my hot new moto pants that make me feel great and very, very womanly? Would I wear the sheer, floaty dress I picked up from a Facebook wardrobe sale? Would I wear something that made me feel sexy, shapely or flirty and girly? The ideas of this week got a little caught up in the politics of it all in my head.

What I did know is that it’s a little bit cold around here at the moment so I’d absolutely wear tights and/or boots.

Errr, that didn’t happen.Β

On the way out to lunch I started layering on floralsΒ and pinks like no ones business. My hair was curly and out of control so I pinned it back and let some hair fall free. It took a few goes to decide which of the three pink blazers to wear. Yes. THREE. But Hubby chose in the end deciding that the rich pink of this last season ASOS one was the best match with the teeny tiny flowers.

At the last-minute I ditched my tan boots and slipped into my new kitten heels. My legs might be a little chilly for a bit, but these shoes are about as feminine as you can get. Soft, supple and pointy. Too bad that when it came to getting these photos I pretty much ruined them in the wet grass and leaves. Thank goodness for waterproofing, that’s all I’m going to say. I was cursing my last might change way from the boots, let me tell you.

And just like that my feminine look was done. It’s a little pink and girly for my usual tastes. Especially if you count the dresses floral pattern. but you know what, these challenges are meant to push us a little. Set to make us consider what we wear, what we like and don’t. Who knew that for me, the real challenge would be the feminine week.

Honey you look lovely it’s a very sweet look and it’s something different and as you said it’s good to push boundaries. Don’t you have a mint or green coloured blazer? I think that could work really nicely too and perhaps even the balance for you between the pink and floral.

    • I don’t! I WISH I did. I’ve been looking everywhere for a green blazer with no luck. Siiiigh. And thank you. Much appreciated given I’m out of my comfort zone. πŸ˜‰
