Team Stripes in Casual Grey and Black

This week I’ve been approached regarding three denim and jean launches, which is great news for my business, but maaaaan, it’s a billion degrees. And yes I know this is content for the cooler months to come, but I can’t help but think do I have to? Haha. It’s hot. And when it’s hot, you’ll find me in a casual summer dress. Every.  Single. Time.  Case in point, this awesomeness from 17 Sundays. They really do keep me in stripe heaven. The back of this dress HAS to be seen (there’s a photo below) and all in all, I’m in love. I’m wearing the Medium, though my normal size is the Large. You’ll see on the model the more relaxed…

Everyone knows I’m Team Stripes, like 150% Team Stripes. I love them, I wear them, I encourage others to wear them whenever they can. So when I was throwing around topics for a Where to Buy Plus Size Clothing post, I thought, shoot, that’s obvious STRIPES. Welcome to a post that is close to my heart. My stripe covered, brimming over with fashion-loving goodness heart. A post for those plus-size women who would like to buy some clothing with stripes on it. Striped clothing, for plus size women. That stuff. Shopping that is all stripes, all the time. Are you that woman? You’ve heard the old story, yeah? Fat girls shouldn’t hear stripes. ALL girls should avoid horizontal stripes for…

Stripe, quilting, patterns, layering… Autumn

Well, if it’s not autumn where you are just know I feel your pain. Even when I spent the weekend in Melbourne, it really wasn’t autumn weather. More like, maybe I could sleep with a sheet and a blanket perhaps weather. But that doesn’t mean I’m not turning my attentions to what I’m wearing when the weather cools down. If it ever cools down. Remind me I said that when it’s minus two here and I’m complaining because it’s freezing. So I went to Melbourne and part of that trip with the 17 Sundays VIP night. Super fun night and let me tell you, that Margaret MacPherson is just as cool as she is hot. She’s a Queenslander though, we sort…

Work Style Outfit: Stripe on Stripe

Before we talk work style outfits and stripes, double stripes and mega stripes, I’ve got some news. This, ladies and gentleman, will be my last post featuring my half and half hair. I held out as long as I could, but summer blonde was calling me. I had to go. So next time you see me I’ll be a dirty sort of blonde that will be super easy for me to maintain over summer. Because the beach awaits and hair dye is going to be the least of my troubles. But you want to talk about this work style outfit, yeah? A bit of stripe and stripe action. Which we all know I’m a huge fan of. for this outfit I…

Work style stripes

If you feel like you’ve seen this work style outfit before, it would be because you sort of have. But with ankle boots, of course, which is the way I’m most likely to be wearing it. It’s a go-to outfit for the office. So go-to in fact that it is constantly either being worn, being washed or being dried. I can’t image the pieces will last much longer, but they aren’t showing signs of wear and tear yet. YET. I need like 5 more of each to keep me in items forever. So why does this outfit work for the office so easily? Well you can add a jacket and maybe a pendant necklace for meeting days. You can add…

Stripes, stripes and a longline waistcoat

When it comes to stripes, I just can’t get enough of them. I’m team stripes and the stripe’ier the better. So on Saturday afternoon I donned my mismatched stripes and my new boohoo plus white vest, and we went driving. Mr Suger and I like to do that sometimes; have Hybrid, will travel and all that. We had nothing planned that night for the first time in ages and decided to just kill some time hanging out. With the windows down and ‘Shake It Off’ cranked on the car stereo (yes, we are those people) we drove the winding roads behind where we live. Wind in our (my) hair and singing loudly and badly we pass the time talking and…

Stripe Baseball Tee and Faux Leather Joggers

This post contains items gifted for editorial consideration and raved about. I had been impatiently waiting. Waiting like a kid for Christmas day for a parcel in the post with all the new season goodness from 17 Sundays. I featured the items in the post last week and that parcel that FINALLY arrived contained the selections for me from the range. Despite three-day old party hair and no Mr Suger the Photographer, I was determined to grab some photos so I could share the new goodness as soon as possible. If I thought I had been waiting, so were the folks on Facebook, and as I’ve said before I like to give the people what they want. Introducing the…

Black + White + Stripes for Winter

Post brought to you by Harlow Australia The other weekend while the ladies were at my house we styled a photo shoot using the new season Harlow range. I’m pretty sure it was only a couple of weeks ago but it feels like forever. We took those photos for Harlow at a local car park using a tripod and a flash. They worked out well and I love the fun, easy feel of all the ladies in those photos. When we returned to my house Liv and I did a little costume change and lined up out the back for a second outfit pic. More monochrome awesome. This time Hubby was back in charge of the camera {between babysitting AND…

How to wear stripes like a boss!

I’m all about the stripes. Danielle asked on her blog Facebook page yesterday are you into florals or stripes. Me? I’m Team Stripes all the way baby. Aaaaaand I’m all about helping. So today I bring you How to wear stripes like a boss. Because stripes, that’s why. And if you NEED another, it’s because life is too short to not be awesome. Join the cool kids. Go Team Stripes! Last night Melissa complimented me on my Instagram outfit yesterday and said she wouldn’t be brave enough, I told her wearing them comes down to TWO simple things. But for the sake of padding this post out with useless fluff in order to call it a POST, let’s expand on…
